BioOlen Nanna, muutaman vuoden kuluttua kolmekymppinen ystävännauhasolmeilun harrastaja. Ensimmäiset ystävännauhani tein joskus alle kymmenvuotiaana Koululainen-lehdestä löytyneen ohjeen innoittamana. Tämän jälkeen ystävännauhasolmeilu unohtui vuosiksi, kunnes 16-vuotiaana innostuin tekemään joitakin nauhoja. Kului kuitenkin vielä reilut seitsemän vuotta ennen kuin harrastus vei lopullisesti mukanaan. Kesällä 2004 sain jostain pussillisen erilaisia lankoja, ja miettiessäni niille jotain käyttöä muistin ystävännauhat, joita olin tehnyt vuosia aikaisemmin. Kyllästyin melko nopeasti yksinkertaiseen vinoraitaiseen nauhamalliin, ja aloin etsiä lisää nauhamalleja aluksi kirjaston kirjoista ja myöhemmin internetistä. Sen jälkeen olenkin oppinut satoja erilaisia nauhamalleja, tehnyt kymmenittäin niminauhoja tilaustöinä, sekä suunnitellut joitakin omia nauhamalleja. Ystävännauhojen ohella teen jonkin verran myös muita käsitöitä, pääasiassa ristipistoja ja ompelutöitä.
I'm Nanna, I'm in my late twenties, and my favorite hobby is making friendship bracelets. I made my first friendship bracelets when I was under ten, after I found instructions for basic diagonal stripe bracelet from a children's magazine. I soon forgot friendship bracelets until at age 16, when I made a few simple bracelets. It took another seven years until I got seriously into this hobby. In the summer 2004 someone gave me a bag of miscellaneous threads. When I was thinking what to do with them, I remembered the friendship bracelets I had made several years ago. Very soon I got bored with the basic diagonal stripe pattern, and started looking for more patterns, first from the books of the local library, then from the internet. Now I have learned hundreds of different bracelet patterns, made lots of name bracelets by request, and created some patterns on my own. Besides friendship bracelets, I like to make some other crafts too, especially cross stitching and sewing. My blog is in Finnish, but you can comment in English too.
Please do NOT post patterns of my original designs to Stefan's site. If you want to use my pattern on your own (non-Finnish) site, ask me first, and I'll probably let you use some of them (not all) with a proper credit. You may share my patterns via craft related forums as long as you don't claim them as your own designs (a link to my blog would be appreciated but not essential).
